Living Spirit Yoga is a balanced style of raja yoga developed by Nathan Hayes in the late 1990’s from his own daily personal yoga and meditation practice of 25+ years.  Grounded in the traditions of Kripalu and Iyengar yoga and the Thai Forest tradition of Theravada Buddhism, Living Spirit Yoga offers an integrated approach to the spiritual path of yoga, providing to its practitioners the opportunity to experience increased physical vitality, strength and flexibility, balanced emotions, peaceful happy minds, stronger and more authentic connections with others, and a deeper sense of purpose and meaning in their lives.

Living Spirit Yoga is a nationally recognized Yoga Teacher Training School, registered with the Yoga Alliance at both the 200 and 500 hour training levels.  Nathan, its founder and director, has been offering weekly yoga classes, workshops, three-week yoga immersions, residential retreats in North America, and teacher trainings for over 20 years.

Nathan utilizes a wide range of teaching styles to match the needs and abilities of students.  His classes reflect the richness and depth of his own personal daily yoga practice and his training from many of the world’s finest and inspiring yoga and meditation teachers. With a mix of lightness and a reverence for the power of yoga, Nathan has guided many, many students down the ever deepening and fulfilling path of Yoga.
